On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the young adults of St. Sarkis Church came together for a special evening of fellowship, conversation, and spiritual reflection. The gathering, hosted by Fr. Nareg and Yn. Annie Terterian, provided a warm and informal setting where participants could reconnect with one another and with the life of the Church.

The evening began with delicious sandwiches and casual conversation as everyone shared stories of how they spent their summer. Many spoke about preparing for the upcoming academic year or advancing in their professional goals. This natural exchange set the stage for deeper dialogue about faith and life.

Fr. Nareg invited the young adults to reflect on the role of the Church in their lives. Their answers were both profound and heartfelt, highlighting the importance of faith as a source of strength, guidance, and community. Building on their reflections, Fr. Nareg offered a short talk on what it means to be a Christian. He explained that living our Christian identity involves three essential elements: worship, living the teachings of the Gospel, and sharing the faith with others.

To deepen the discussion, Fr. Nareg asked the participants to choose a Gospel theme to read and reflect upon together. They chose the theme of forgiveness and turned to the parable of the prodigal son. After reading the passage, Fr. Nareg gave a short reflection, emphasizing the Father’s unconditional love and the call for each of us to both give and receive forgiveness in our daily lives.

The evening concluded with a group photo and a shared commitment to continue these gatherings. Participants expressed enthusiasm for holding regular meetings, including a hybrid format so that those studying in out-of-state colleges can also take part virtually.

This gathering was more than just a meeting—it was a joyful moment of reconnection, reminding everyone that faith is not lived alone but nurtured in community.
