The Ladies Guild of St. Sarkis Church

The Ladies Guild of St. Sarkis Church holds a unique place in the history and community of the church. Formed in 1962 as the first auxiliary group after the church’s consecration, it quickly became an essential element in church life. Often referred to as the backbone of the church, the Ladies Guild has devoted itself to supporting church activities, organizing events, and providing hospitality, all while embodying a spirit of generosity and service that strengthens the community.

For over 60 years, the Guild has contributed to the welfare of St. Sarkis Church, evolving to reflect the changing times and needs of the congregation. From its early days, the members of the Guild—dedicated and hardworking—have continuously supported the church, often through selfless donations. Even during the challenging period of the early 2020s, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced many activities to halt, the Guild’s dedication never wavered. Following the pandemic, the organization experienced a remarkable revival. Since 2023, the Ladies Guild has seen exponential growth, especially with the addition of younger members who bring fresh energy, talents, and ideas. This new wave of involvement has transformed the Guild, allowing it to evolve into a vibrant, multigenerational organization where members of all ages work together to serve the church and its community.
