St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church had the honor of hosting the annual Clergy Conference of the Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America. Under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, the conference began on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, coinciding with the Feast of Sts. Ghevont and the Priests.

The opening sessions focused on revitalizing key traditions essential to preserving the Armenian Christian identity. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian and Fr. Hrant Kevorkian delivered insightful presentations on this theme. The evening service led into the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, celebrated by Fr. Samvel Adjemian, who also delivered the homily. The first day concluded with a warm gathering, as members of the community shared a meal with the visiting clergy.

Wednesday began with a Morning Service and a biblical reflection led by Fr. Vatche Balekjian. Following breakfast, Deacon Shant Kazanjian gave a presentation on the Nicene Creed, marking Christianity’s commemoration of the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea. The final session featured in-depth discussions among the clergy on pastoral and liturgical matters.

The conference concluded with closing remarks and a benediction from His Eminence, bringing an enriching and spiritually uplifting gathering to a close.
