Suzanne and Hovsep Hagopian Saturday School celebrated its annual End-of-Year Hantes and Graduation on Saturday, May 18th.

It’s hard to believe the school year has already come to a close, but the Hantes and Graduation ceremony was a beautiful culmination of the dedication and hard work demonstrated by both students and teachers throughout the year.

Under the direction of Nargiz Mkrtchyan and Tikran Dumanyan, the students captivated the audience with a passionate medley of songs that touched every heart. Following the musical performance, each class took the stage to recite poetry, expressing their deep appreciation and pride in learning their mother tongue.

Kindergarten graduates were then proudly presented with their diplomas. We are incredibly proud of their growth and accomplishments this year and look forward with great excitement to welcoming them back in the fall as first graders.

The 6th grade graduates delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting on their memorable experiences at our Saturday school. They expressed sincere gratitude to all of their teachers, as well as to Fr. Nareg and Yn. Annie, who served as inspiring Armenian role models throughout their time at the school.

Our four graduates—Narineh Nenejian, Arame Binjoyan, David Aseyan, and Steven Miskaryan—proudly accepted their diplomas and bid a fond farewell to their beloved school. We are excited to watch them grow into thoughtful young Armenian adults and hope they continue to stay connected to their heritage and contribute meaningfully to the Armenian community.

Following the ceremony, students and their families gathered at Pagumian Hall to enjoy a joyful BBQ celebration. The event was generously hosted by our dedicated and hardworking PTA parents, whose ongoing support and tireless efforts make events like this possible.
