Vespers and the Call to the Kingdom

On the 2nd week of the Great Lent, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, St. Sarkis Church community gathered to praise God by the prayers of Vesper Services, those that have a very unique place in our church. They remind us of our sinfulness, but also God’s mercifulness towards humanity.

At the end of the service, our pastor Fr. Nareg continued the Bible reflections on the Gospel of Mark, remarking how God has interfered with human history through Jesus Christ and how to live the Kingdom of God on Earth, as Jesus himself proclaimed.

Afterwards, everyone moved to Pagoomian hall to discuss in detail what Fr. Nareg talked about, asked questions on that and had a taste of Lenten dishes while socializing with each other. The dishes were donated by Vanessian-Nercessian and Bodyigoklu families in memory of their beloved father and uncle Mr. Garo Vanessian. May his soul rest in heavenly peace.
