On Sunday, March 23, 2025, the St. Sarkis Ladies Guild held its much-anticipated annual "Michink" luncheon, a cherished tradition marking the midpoint of Lent. Following the Badarak, parishioners gathered in the church hall, where they were welcomed by a feast of beautifully prepared and delicious Lenten dishes.
The hall was filled with an atmosphere of warmth and joy as attendees enjoyed a diverse selection of salads, traditional Lenten fare, and an array of mouthwatering desserts. The meticulous preparation by the Ladies Guild chaired by Loucine Megerian and Meline Yaziciyan, was evident in the artistic presentation of each dish, reflecting both culinary skill and devotion to this important observance.
The "Michink" luncheon has long served as a meaningful opportunity for the community to come together in fellowship, reinforcing faith and tradition while sharing in the delights of Armenian cuisine. Laughter and conversation filled the room as old friends reconnected and new friendships blossomed, making this gathering an unforgettable occasion.
As always, the success of the event was due to the tireless efforts of the St. Sarkis Ladies Guild, whose dedication ensures that this beautiful tradition continues year after year. Parishioners left with full hearts and satisfied palates, looking forward to the next opportunity to celebrate their faith and heritage together.
With another successful "Michink" luncheon in the books, the St. Sarkis community eagerly anticipates the remaining journey through Lent, uplifted by the spirit of togetherness and gratitude.
