On Sunday January 5, our community came together for our Christmas Eve celebration, or the Eve of the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of our Loud, Jesus Christ.  Our festivities began with a delicious luncheon followed by our annual Christmas Hantes presented by The Suzanne and Hovsep Hagopian Saturday School.   Our talented students delivered a beautiful performance for their families and the community at large, singing treasured Christmas hymns in Armenian such as “Loor Keehser” (Silent Night) and reciting poetry.   Under the expert leadership of our school Principal, Yeretzgin Annie Terterian, our dedicated teachers and school staff  did a wonderful job choreographing the event and preparing the students to deliver a successful performance.

At the conclusion of the performance, we went upstairs into the Sanctuary to participate in the Christmas Eve Scripture Readings followed by the beautiful Jragalooyts (lighting of the lamp) Badarak. In keeping with our sacred tradition, lit candles were distributed for the faithful to take home symbolizing the divine light and blessing of the Church.
