SALT & LIGHT YOUTH MINISTRY CONVENED LAST FRIDAY
On Friday, October 16, 2026, we gathered for the second session of the Salt & Light Youth Ministry program, titled “Seeing with Christ’s Eyes.”
Sixty-five youth and ten facilitators came together for dinner before moving into their breakout sessions. The theme scripture was taken from the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Luke (6:17, 20–26), where Jesus gives the blessings and the woes — a striking passage that challenges our thinking and our understanding of both scripture and our own lives. The youth shared their experiences and examined their mindsets as they worked to understand what Jesus was truly teaching through these words.
After the breakout sessions, the youth and facilitators gathered together in the sanctuary, where Fr. Nareg spoke about how to reflect meaningfully on anything in our lives, emphasizing the importance of silence — especially in a holy place like the church.
As always, we concluded the session with dessert. We now look forward with joy to the Salt & Light annual retreat, taking place Saturday and Sunday, November 7–8.
