On Friday, March 13th the St. Sarkis Salt & Light Youth group gathered for their third session of the season.
The lesson of the evening was a beautifully prepared and timely lesson on The Passion of Christ. Facilitators led the discussions in small groups with the youth, guiding them through bible readings from Matthew 26-27, Mark 14-15, Luke 22-23 and John 18-19 to help understand the key events of Jesus’ Passion, reflect on the meaning of Christ’s sacrifice, recognize how the Passion reveals God’s love and identify how they can respond to Christ’s sacrifice in their daily lives. The youth were attentive, engaged and participated in a reflective question and answer session with Der Nareg in the Sanctuary following the break out groups.
