A Joyful Reunion: Sages of Ages Celebrate Community at St. Sarkis Church
There was no shortage of smiles at the most recent gathering of the Sages of Ages at St. Sarkis Church, where friends and familiar faces reunited for a day full of warmth, laughter, and cultural celebration.
The morning kicked off with a cheerful welcome over steaming cups of coffee and a spread of delicious baked goods, setting the tone for a delightful day ahead. Laughter soon filled the room as attendees dove into a spirited game of bingo, where prizes added a spark of excitement.
Before lunch, Der Nareg led a heartfelt prayer, offering blessings for the gathering and for the continued health of all in attendance. A special thank you goes to Evelyn Nenejian, who generously prepared and donated a delicious lunch that was as nourishing as it was appreciated.
After the meal, voices joined in harmony under the leadership of Zepiur Ardzivian, who led the group in singing beloved Armenian songs. The melodies echoed memories and pride in shared heritage, and served as a touching close before everyone indulged in an array of sweet desserts.
As the gathering came to a close, the community came together in a collective wish for a happy and healthy summer, promising to return in the fall with more stories, songs, and smiles to share.
