Once again, another successful monthly gathering of our lovely group. Our sweet Sages gathered and enjoyed the beautiful Spring day with smiles, excited to see what was planned for them. A morning coffee and pastry spread was ready for them as they arrived as they enjoyed an hour of social and catching up. Soon after, the eager bunch was overly thrilled to learn that today’s Bingo game came with a little twist in the rules, as their favorite pastime became a bit more challenging. As the winners picked their prizes and the game was finishing up, we had a welcome visit and lunch table blessing from Der Nareg, something our sages always look forward to. Today’s special Lenten Lunch was sponsored by Mrs. Zabel Hatem in memory of her mother Mrs. Nuritsa Boudakian.
A bountiful array of various Lenten dishes were presented, from Vospov Kufte, Mudjadara, Salmon and many other choices. After lunch, the committee greeted the guests with a table of Anoushabur and sweets. And what better way to end the day with some music. Song sheets were passed out and our lovely Zepiur lead the group with traditional Armenian songs. It was even joked that with the spirit and strong voices in the room that they would make a wonderful choral group! This month the Sages committee have come together and decided to fund 2 orphans in Armenia. A small gesture to be shared with our country, as they need us as much as we need them.
