On the evening of February 7, 2026, the halls of St. Sarkis Armenian Church came alive with joy, laughter, and vibrant celebration as the community gathered to mark Poon Paregentan — a cherished tradition filled with festivity, fellowship, and cultural pride.

From the moment guests entered the beautifully decorated hall, they were immersed in an atmosphere of warmth and excitement. Colorful décor and elegant touches transformed the space into a setting worthy of this beloved pre-Lenten celebration. Friends and families greeted one another with heartfelt embraces, setting the tone for a truly memorable night.

The celebration was elevated by great music provided by Michael Gostanian and his band with a special appearance by Tonee Marino, kept the energy high throughout the evening. The sounds of traditional Armenian favorites blended seamlessly with lively contemporary selections, creating a playlist that appealed to every generation. The dance floor was rarely empty — guests joined in circle dances, clapped to the rhythm, and celebrated heritage through movement and song.

Equally unforgettable was the amazing food that delighted attendees. A lavish spread of delicious dishes, prepared lovingly by members of the St. Sarkis Ladies Guild, showcased the richness of Armenian cuisine and hospitality. From savory appetizers and perfectly seasoned entrées to an irresistible assortment of desserts and pastries, every table reflected care, tradition, and abundance. The aromas, flavors, and presentation made the culinary experience a highlight of the evening.

Beyond the music and cuisine, what made the night truly special was the spirit of togetherness. Poon Paregentan has long symbolized joy before the reflective Lenten season, and that meaning was felt deeply. Laughter filled the room, friendships were strengthened, and new memories were created within the welcoming walls of St. Sarkis.

It is with grateful hearts that the Ladies Guild extends sincere thanks to their dedicated members — Yeretzkin Annie Terterian, Lucine Megherian, Diane Boyadjian, Laura Assadourian, Marina Ghahreman, Bill and Nazik Marino, Annita Nerses, Alina Kochoumian, Madlen Hazarian, Louiza Kubikian, Jeanette and Raffi Nenejian, Nayda Voskerijian, Lena Felice, Christine Bedrissian,  Meline Yaziciyan, and Kristine Jamgotchian — for helping make this event truly unforgettable.

As the evening drew to a close, guests departed with full hearts — grateful for a beautiful celebration that honored tradition, community, and faith.

It was a wonderful party filled with great music, amazing food, and the unmistakable joy of celebrating Poon Paregentan together — a night that will be remembered fondly until next year’s festivities begin once more.
