On Sunday, March 1, 2026, the Ladies Guild of St. Sarkis Armenian Church gathered for its Annual General Meeting and elections, with members of the Executive Committee and general membership in attendance. The afternoon was marked by reflection, gratitude, and renewed enthusiasm for the year ahead.

The meeting was opened with a prayer by Der Nareg, who spoke warmly about the vital role the Ladies Guild plays in the life of our church community. He emphasized that the dedication, care, and tireless efforts of the Ladies Guild make our church feel like home. Encouraging the members to continue their meaningful work, he reminded everyone of the importance of ensuring that all who enter our doors feel welcomed and embraced.

Ladies Guild Chairlady, Mrs. Jeanette Nenejian, then addressed the membership, providing a comprehensive overview of the many activities and accomplishments of 2025. She also shared exciting plans for 2026, highlighting two major upcoming events: the annual Bake Sale to take place just before Easter, and, most notably, the honor of our church hosting the National Representatives Assembly (NRA) — a significant gathering that is hosted by St. Sarkis Church only once every ten years. Mrs. Nenejian proudly noted the tremendous success of this year’s Poon Paregentan celebration and encouraged all members to become actively involved in the Guild’s ambitious and inspiring 2026 agenda. She urged everyone to sign up and lend their support to both the Bake Sale and the NRA.

Dr. Louiza Kubikian presented the Treasurer’s Report for 2025, outlining the Guild’s financial successes and responsible stewardship. She happily reported that 2026 has already begun on a strong and promising note, thanks in large part to the success of the Poon Paregentan event.

The meeting concluded with the election of new members to the Executive Committee. Three dedicated ladies were elected to serve two-year terms: Mrs. Marina Ghahreman and Mrs. Lilit Manukyan as Executive Committee Members, and Mrs. Shogher Aseyan as Alternate.

The full Executive Committee for 2026 is as follows: Honorary Chair, Yeretzkin Annie Terterian; Mrs. Jeanette Nenejian; Mrs. Lena Felice; Mrs. Madlen Hazarian; Ms. Kristine Jamgotchian; Mrs. Meline Yaziciyan; Mrs. Marina Ghahreman; Mrs. Lilit Manukyan; Mrs. Loucine Megerian; and Mrs. Nayda Voskerijian. Serving as Alternates are Mrs. Shogher Aseyan and Dr. Louiza Kubikian.

The Ladies Guild extends a heartfelt welcome to these wonderful women and looks forward to working together in faith and fellowship. With unity, dedication, and enthusiasm, the Ladies Guild is poised for an amazing and productive year ahead.
