This past Sunday, September 28 th , there was a beautiful home blessing service for our newly renovated main hall. After the Divine Liturgy had ended, Der Nareg, all the altar servers and the choir members had a procession leading to the main hall. There Der Nareg blessed the customary bread, salt, and water as he would do in all home blessings. He briefly spoke about what has transpired in these past two months regarding the high priority of renovating our main hall. He specifically thanked two very important people that made this renovation a success. The first person was Mr. Stephan Tchorbadjian, one of our parishioners who is a civil engineer, and how he identified the root causes of the flood and developed and implemented a plan to correct these issues. The second person was Dr. Annita Nerses Kurpius, our Board of Trustees chair, and how she spent countless days at church dealing with contractors and coordinating all the work that needed to be done. How truly lucky our church is to have such dedicated people tending to its needs. After the short speeches a delicious buffet lunch was prepared and served by the members of our Ladies Guild. It was a wonderful afternoon of true fellowship and friendship.
