Next Sunday, February 16, 2025, will be an exciting day for our community. The congregation of St. Sarkis Church will come together to celebrate the feast of our patron saint, St. Sarkis. His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate, will officiate the church services and preside over the festivities. He will also perform the sacrament of ordination for the acolytes and deacon.
The altar servers continue their training sessions to understand their duties better and prepare for the upcoming ordination. Following the church services on Sunday, February 2, we held another hands-on training session.
Our altar servers are eagerly looking forward to next Sunday. The Badarak will begin promptly at 10:30 AM, during which Serpazan will ordain the following individuals as acolytes: Eddy Hazarian, Andrew Gorgissian, Gregory Keshishian, Anthony Marino, Armen Megherian, Ari Megherian, Erik Nalbandian, Haig Anastasian, Aris Givelekian, Raffi Megerian, Alessandro Felice, and Avedis Terterian. Later, during the synaxis, Serpazan will ordain John Megerian as a deacon.
After the church services, the community will gather for the traditional St. Sarkis Name Day banquet. The newly ordained acolytes and all the young church servers will present an artistic program.
We invite our community to join us in this celebration and support our community's dedicated young church servers.
