A Special Divine Liturgy
On Sunday, July 29th, 2018, the congregation of St. Sarkis Church gathered in the main hall not for coffee hour or for a meeting, but for Sunday Divine Liturgy, proceeded by His Eminence Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate. The reason for this extraordinary Mass setting was because the Sanctuary of our church was in the process of being painted.
This unique experience created a cozy atmosphere for prayer and meditation. The lack of the curtain on the "altar" area gave all who were present a view of "what goes on behind the curtain.” Also the absence of the choir area gave parishioners the opportunity to experience and see the choir members performing.
A day of prayer according to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them" (Mathew 18:20)
