Saturday School Year End Hantes
On Sunday, May 19th the St. Sarkis Suzanne and Hovsep Hagopian Saturday School held their annual year end hantes. The Main Hall was filled with loved ones awaiting the student’s performances and the children did not disappoint them. From nursery through our 7th graders and our Post Graduates the students worked hard to learn their poems and songs.
The hantes started with our nursery, pre-k and kindergarten classes singing and reciting their poems. At the end of their performance our pastor, Der Nareg and Principal, Mrs. Nairy Zohrabian, presented the Kindergarten students their moving up diplomas. The second portion of the hantes was performed by our 1st through 7th grade and our Post Graduate classes. The program ended with a special dance performance by many of our students.
At the end of the program Der. Nareg Terterian, Mrs. Nairy Zohrabian, Mrs. Mary Arslanian and Dr. Aram Cazazian presented our graduating 7th graders, Eddy Hazarian, Andre Tavitian, Nayira Kabarajian with their diplomas and wished them good luck with their future endeavors. Mr. Michael Gostanian took a stand on behalf of the board of trustees chairman Mr. Harry Seoylemezian congratulating Der Nareg, the school principal and the staff for their amazing job. Der. Nareg expressed his gratitude to the staff and the PTA for their hard work and dedication.
Another fun filled year of learning the Armenian language, history, culture, song and religion concluded as our dedicated PTA served delicious desserts.
As it was mentioned at the hantes, a few of our students took part in the ARS of the Eastern USA composition contest. Out of six different schools one of our students, Eddie Hazarian was chosen as the first prize winner for the contest. We congratulate Eddie, for job well done!
